Get Him to the Greek

Funniest movie I've seen since The Hangover. Anybody with me on this?

My generation needs a rock star like Aldous Snow.

I want to see it, can't convince the missus, though. It'll be an On-Demand rental.

One thing we both want to see next week, though- Toy Story 3. I know that deep down my son would secretly like to see it too, but only someplace far away where there's zero chance he'd run into someone he knows. :P

You're missing out. The music written for the movie is actually good, even though it's pretty ridiculous.

I know I'm alone on this, but I never liked either of the Toy Story films, even when I was a kid. I won't be seeing the third one, haha. But look on the bright side, 7line, I've reached an age where my parents are no longer an embarrassment to me. It happened a few years ago, when I was 19. So you've got, what, about ten years 'til then?

He's 14. We have a routine.

I have to drop him off a block away from the movie theater, so that he can walk up like he got there himself and can meet up with his buddies, whose parents ALSO dropped THEM off a block away. When the movie's over, we have the surreptitious phone call and pick-up.

Threatening him with public embarrassment right now is the biggest weapon in my arsenal. I've found it to be an excellent motivator.

As for Toy Story 3, he's consented to see it with his grandmother, who lives outside the 'embarrassment danger zone'.

Why is it every other movie in Hollywood today has a three after the title?

Well, it may surprise you to know that there were two previous movies in this series, making this one the third in the series.

This fact is often symbolized by the use of the number '3' in the title.

Yeah, but why can't they do something both new AND good?
